A light sculpture by the hands of Julio Martínez Barnetche, with the high attention to detail that his work is known for. In this body of work that comprises 4 such sculptural lights, Julio creates a centre stage for the star, which is a very precious and beautifully carved specimen of a WHITE COLOMBIAN QUARTZ. The Quartz is set with Montana Sapphires and subtly held by arms of slender carved ebony. As such the exquisite gem specimen floats above a custom-made box, which on its inside is layered with Lapis Lazuli pigment and gold leaf and lit from within, offering minute light beams towards the Quartz gem to enlighten it.
A genius methodology to present and make shine a treasured gem specimen.
