STORY:
CLAVADISTA is the latest of Julio's whimsical light sculptures. A striking light object that displays two big carved amber pieces. At the side is a flexible brass arm with a subtle lightsource to light up the two striking amber pieces. The brass display arms can swivel and allow for various constellations.

The high-quality amber is composed of two carved pieces that are formed by the same rock. They display extremely greenish reflections and have a strong clarity with red veins. Original weight of both pieces of 460 g. After a 20-year period of extreme excavations at the famous Chiapas amber mines, today the amber extraction is at its lowest point in more than 40 years. High-quality stones have become quite rare and expensive.
