LUX NIGRA is a tapestry or floor-piece.
Artist Statement: "A shield. A skin. The silent twin of something burning.
Lux Nigra is a protective geometry — the visible half of a binary relic.
It evokes a coraza, a ceremonial carapace, carved in black over white.
Wool becomes wall, diagram, exoskeleton.
This piece does not speak — it guards.
It remembers the presence of its counterpart.
Together, they form a code: two images in tension,
two halves of a ritual interface.
Symmetry is a promise. Repetition is a wound.
Lux Nigra is the part that resists — the reverse of light, etched in stillness."
